These granola bars are AMAZING and are our new favorite granola bar recipe!!! They taste like a chewy candy bar and remind me of the Quaker chewy granola bars I ate before allergies but with so much more flavor. I highly recommend using chocolate chips as the add in. They are very yummy, simple, and fast to make with ingredients that we usually have on hand. Next time I'm going to make a double batch and place it in an 11x15 baking dish.

Simple and delicious egg free, dairy free and nut free recipes that everyone will love.
Welcome!
My daughter, Jazlyn, is anaphylactic to egg, dairy, peanuts, and tree nuts. When she was first diagnosed, I found it very difficult to find recipes and foods that didn't taste like "allergy" food. Over the last 15 years I have had a lot of fun developing and changing recipes so that they are safe for her. I love to share my recipes so that other families can realize how yummy "allergy" foods can taste. You don't have to sacrifice taste or your favorite foods, you just have to rethink how to make them. I made a promise to Jazzy that I would do my very best to find a way for her to eat any food she wants to try. So far I have been able to keep that promise. I hope your family enjoys these recipes as much as we do.

Egg Free, Dairy Free Krispy Chicken
The chicken turned out very moist and the crust is very good. This is a good alternative to Shake 'N Bake coating. Feel free to change the seasonings to suit your taste.
Krispy Chicken
1 1/2 cups crushed Rice Krispies
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp. dairy free margarine, melted
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken tenders or sliced breasts
Combine the Rice Krispies, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper in a Ziploc. In a separate bowl, place the melted margarine. Coat the chicken with the margarine then place it in the Ziploc bag. Shake to coat then place on a foil lined sprayed baking sheet. Pour any remaining margarine or cereal mix over top. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

Egg Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free Sunbutter Banana Oatmeal Bars
These delicious banana flavored bars are a cross between a granola bar and baked oatmeal. We loved them plain and with chocolate syrup stirred in. It's wonderful when you can get two different flavors in the same batch.
Sunbutter Banana Oatmeal Bars
1/2 cup Sunbutter
3 tbsp honey, corn syrup or maple syrup
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 1/2 cups oats
1 cup Rice Krispies or additional oats
Microwave the Sunbutter and honey for 1 minute then stir until smooth. Stir in the mashed bananas. Add the oats and Rice Krispies then stir until thoroughly combined. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into a parchment paper lined 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned and set. Cool completely before cutting into bars or squares.
* If desired, you can add 1/3 cup chocolate syrup to the mixture. You can also press 1/2 of the mixture into 1/2 of the baking dish, mix 3 tbsp chocolate syrup with the remaining mixture then press that mixture into the other 1/2 of the baking dish to make two varieties at once.

Egg Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free Sunbutter Krispie Balls
My girls had fun rolling this snack into balls, coating them in chocolate then rolling them in sprinkles. The plain ones were good and less messy to eat, but everyone preferred the coated ones. This recipe is similar to our Krispy Sunbutter Balls, but it has less Sunbutter and way more cereal. Also, the cereal is left whole in the original recipe but crushed in the new recipe.
Sunbutter Krispie Balls
1/2 cup Sunbutter
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup honey
6 cups Rice Krispies, crushed after measuring
Microwave the Sunbutter, corn syrup and honey until melted and smooth. Stir in the Rice Krispies until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate the mixture until it is easily handled and will hold its shape when rolled. Shape the mixture into balls then place them on a wax paper lined baking sheet. Keep them plain or coat them in melted chocolate and roll them in sprinkles.

Egg Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free Granola Candy Bars
I was attempting to make a no-bake granola bar. However, when my girls tasted the bars, they kept asking for more candy bars instead of granola bars. They make a great grab and go breakfast or snack. These granola bars pack wonderfully in Ziploc bags or foil.
Granola Candy Bars
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Sunbutter
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 cups oats
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup safe chocolate chips
Place the brown sugar, Sunbutter and corn syrup in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring every minute. Add the oats, Rice Krispies and vanilla then stir until thoroughly combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into a sprayed 8x8 baking dish. Cool before cutting. Store tightly covered.
* These granola bars can be doubled and placed in a 9x13 baking dish.

Egg Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free Krispy Sunbutter Balls
This is the perfect recipe for to make with the kids or have them try by themselves. My 6 year old daughter, Tayana, made these all by herself. She had so much fun measuring the ingredients, stirring then rolling the mixture into balls. These treats are very good for a snack or quick breakfast.
Krispy Sunbutter Balls
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 1/2-2 cups crips rice cereal (I use Rice Krispies)
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ, optional
* The mixture will be slightly sticky. However, if the mixture is too sticky to roll, stir in a little more cereal.
* The balls can be left plain, coated with safe melted chocolate, crushed graham crackers, shredded coconut, wheat germ, etc.

1 cup Sunbutter
1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup corn syrup
1 1/2-2 cups crips rice cereal (I use Rice Krispies)
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ, optional
Thoroughly combine the Sunbutter, honey and corn syrup. Add the cereal and wheat germ then stir until all of the cereal is coated. Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls. Place the balls on a waxed paper lined baking sheet. Once all of the mixture is used, place the baking sheet in the fridge for 2 hours. Store in a covered container in the fridge.
* If desired, you can use 1/2 cup of honey or 1/2 cup of corn syrup.* The mixture will be slightly sticky. However, if the mixture is too sticky to roll, stir in a little more cereal.
