These brownies are more cakey than gooey, but they have a good flavor.
Brownies
1 1/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add the water, oil and vanilla then mix until thoroughly combined. The batter will be thick. Pat the mixture evenly into a sprayed 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
* Use a 9x13 baking dish for a double batch.
These sound really good. Looks similar to wacky cake, which I love. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThe flavor is close to Wacky Cake, but the texture is different. The brownies are very good, as long as you like them cakey and not gooey. My girls couldn't get enough, especially drizzled with some chocolate syrup.
ReplyDeleteI made these today for our son, who is allergic to milk. They were great! They taste like regular brownies to us. M really enjoyed his first brownies ever. Thanks so much for this recipe!
